Is the curve toward the left side?
If so, then see if the ferret needs medication adjustments or pain meds.
There are studies in dogs and a right side curve indicates pleasure while a left side curve indicates displeasure. Over the years we have found that all of our ferrets except one did exactly the same thing. That one was opposite and might have been a mirror-twin. It actually has a neurological basis.
This is the most recent (but we have read something like two studies in previous years on the topic) and this one gives pause:
