Subject: [ferrethealth] Benazepril for Kidney Failure?
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Has anyone had any success using Benazepril (Lotensin) for kidney failure in ferrets? My vet has prescribed it for two of my ferrets, and has said there has been some success with cats. He's not sure whether it will help ferrets. I looked in the Archives and it appears mostly to be talking about using it for heart issues, but a quick Google search showed that it is used for chronic kidney failure in humans.

Mine is compounded in a 6mg/mL suspension, banana flavored. I sniff it each time I open the bottle. LOL
