Actually, I did talk to my vet late Friday afternoon about what was
going on and he agreed about the Carafate and Amoxy. We also discussed
the incision and irritation and changing the Amoxy dose, but I simply
forgot to ask about adding the Buprenex and his office was closed when
I got home from work and checked on Fang. I was hoping someone on the
list might be able to answer the question. I have had ferrets for
more than ten years and have been through many surgeries but this one
was a bit more difficult and I haven't use Buprenex in conjunction
with surgery before.

Fang is doing much better today, the incision has been dry for more
than twenty four hours and looks much, much better. His appetite is
good, just wanting the soft food at this time though, no kibble. I
don't think he'll need any pain meds now. Thank you.
