Try it more than once. This would be more like playing in water than
giving a bath. Use a deep sink and fill it deep enough that the
ferret is forced to swim to stay afloat. Make sure the water is warm
enough. Put your hand under his belly to give him some support. He
should start "swimming" as a natural instinct. Also work his back
legs in the NATURAL motions, working at the hip, the knee joint, and
the ankle joint. You can also do this while holding him in your lap,
several times daily. Don't force anything.

Well, opossums are omnivores and ferrets are carnivores, so that may
not necessarily apply. However, the Berry Balance I mentioned
earlier is designed for dogs and cats, and cats are carnivores. Such
a small amount is given, there shouldn't be any problems with it. I
wouldn't hesitate giving it to any animal with recurrent UTIs,
ferrets included. I'm not sure of its healing powers when a UTI as
already present, since I am using it as a preventive (prophylactic).

I will be happy to continue this communication off-list, so feel free
to write me privately.
