I will jump in here and say that one of the reasons Ruth initially
reported this was that some of us were at the York Show, and the
problems for her began right after that. So far, none of us who had
ferrets at the show have seen any problems, and it has now been 2 weeks.

**Actually, the first ones to get sick were about ten days after the October
show, but none of them had been to that show and were housed on a different
floor of the house from those that had gone. Thought it was just a nasty flu,
and then it stopped. We thought it was over, so I went to the York show.
While I was at the show, a couple of the ferrets left at home became ill.

I've added Tamiflu and omeprazole to the regimen, taken them off Baytril as
that seemed to be contributing to anorexia, and am contemplating slippery elm
bark and interferon (don't want to add too many things at one time).

And as always, please do remember that this is not 100% confirmed to be ECE
yet - everything points in that direction, but until I get back the results
from MSU, we don't know for sure.**

Dr. Ruth
