Subject: [ferrethealth] thank you
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

I will be following up with the lady who came and got the ferret,
cause as I have said, I just didn't get a warm fuzzy feeling as she
walked out the door. I couldn't believe how un excited she was. Last
year one of my dachshunds was out venturing through the country side,
he'd followed my son, anyway some people in town picked him up and
took him to town. They called me about 11 at night and I hightailed
it to town to retrieve my dog! The following day I took them a big
bag of their special cat food that they have to have for their cats
to show my thanks. It was like it was an after thought for this woman
to even spit out thank you under her breath. Anyway, I have emailed
some shelters that were mentioned and will be joining some other
yahoo groups that were mentioned. I know I will find at least one
ferret that needs me, and when it happens it's because it was meant
to be. In the mean time I will continue to research and prepare for
my future ferret. I'm enjoying all the reading about ferrets though.
I am thinking that when I get one there will be more then one. But I
have a question on that subject, if getting a bonded pair, are they
still as social with their human? Not that I want a ferret to be
alone all day just so that it would be happy to interact with me in
the evenings, that doesn't sound fair at all. Do ferrets like to
sleep on fleece pouches or do they prefer boxes and hammocks? Okay,
that's enough questions for now. Talk to you soon. Take care, Lori
