Subject: [ferrethealth] Band used in right adrenal surgery

I have a ferret going in to seee our vet this Thursday. Could a vet
please give me the name of this procedure and sources so I may share
it with him? We have another vet who does numerous ferret surgeries.
Many right adrenals with ligation of the vena cava if they turn out
that way. I would love to be sure these vets are on top of this latest
procedure. No one had heard of any of this at our ferret picnic this
weekend - one person wasemployed by one fo the vets and runs a small
shelter. I also would like to sound fairly informed when I present the
info.

Your vet could consult with Dr Driggers from Arizona
who presented this topic at the August Avian and Exotics
conference. That vet can probably be located by using the
AVA membership directory. If your vet doesn't have it then
an area vet or a reference library might, or another directory
