AH!

I think I misunderstood. My apologies.

I was going to recommend these lines:

See if you can contact Dr Huszenicza
in the vet school in Budapest.

He has studied deslorelin depots in ferrets.

BUT on re-reading I think that you HAVE tried the
deslorelin implant but it is not helping this ferret.

The options are surgery to remove the other gland
and treat to prevent Addisons (Fludrocort and
Prednisolone, or Percorten and Prednisolone) or
try an implant with more medication in it, or add
other meds like melatonin, or combine the last two.

You will want to do pre-surgical blood work because
if the numbers are too badly off there may be a
malignancy based in the adrenal gland and not all
of those remove well, though carcinomas of the
adrenal gland often do come out nicely if caught early
enough.

I am very short on time right now but in the archives
at
http://ferrethealth.org/archive/
there is huge amount to help you, especially if you also
narrow the search by specifically looking for posts from
AFERRETVET to begin.
