good to know that. Yes, pepto bismol is used as part of the triple
therapy for ulcer treatment for suspected Helicobacter infection.
The ingredients in Pepto Bismol have not changed, was always
bismuth subsalicylate so actually if it has been given for ulcers
under the direction of the vet it should be fine since it was fine
before. Bismuth is what is thought to be the component that
helps get rid of the Helicobacter infection
in adjunct with two other antibiotics ( usually flagyl and Amoxil)

A good reminder as to why people should always check with the
vet before starting any pet on any over the counter medication.
