Subject: stinky is home
I just wanted to let everyone know that stinky is home from the vet's
office. He isn't fully recovered, but he is 100% better than
before. He is eating and drinking on his own and acting as curious
as ever. The vet thinks that he had head trauma when he was out in
the wild, and he got neurological problems from that. But, cortizone
really helped him, and she doesn't think that he needs any more.
Indeed, he did have an infection, but his head trauma was the cause
of not being able to lift his neck, etc. Too bad she wasn't there
when I picked him up, because I wanted to ask her if there was a long
term prognosis. He has antibiotics that I have to give him twice a
day. I am confident that he'll recover well, but I don't think it is
going to happen over night. He is a tough little ferret, and I am
paitent. His progress has already been remarkable.
