Dear Pam,

Califlower ear is not contagious, it is acually brought by trama to
the ear or it can be a birth defect. It is also common in humans with
the same reasons, eg. sports such as boxing or rugby. What it is
exactly, the ear is slightly deformed, Skittle's looks like an ear
turned inside out the grooves and valleys are all kinda out side but
descreetly not really noticable unless you really look, it feels
different(this is how I found out that Skittles has it, it feels like
a hard lump), with Skittles I am unable to see into the ear without
slightly prying it open gently.I hope this helps even though my
description seems to be vage, if someone has a pic of this it would
proboly be best seen. Thank you for the question, it is good to
know...considering I was in the same boat when I adopted Skittles.
